Friday
September 7 Kick-Off Grand Tasting Reception at the Bar Harbor
Club 7-9:30pm Join us for the last hurrah of summer
with an elegant evening of wine, jazz and food on the grounds of the
historic Bar Harbor Club to kick-off the opening of the 1st annual
Bar Harbor Food and Wine Classic. The Grand Tasting will feature
celebrity Maine chefs at cooking stations, dozens of wines and
winery representatives, cheese makers and local wine retailers, all
along the banks of beautiful Frenchman’s Bay.
Originally
built in the 1930’s, the Bar Harbor Club was once a private
playground for the town’s wealthiest summer residents. Now
meticulously restored, the Tudor-styled building and terraced lawns
are more glamorous than ever providing a unique seaside venue.

Saturday September 8 Grand Vintner's Dinner: Under
the Italian Sun Reception at 6pm with Passed Chef’s
Canapés Four Course Dinner at 7pm The Italian zest

September 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 Flight Nights in
the Enoteca Wine Bar Monday – Friday 5-7pm Each
night features a different flight of wine with complimentary chef’s
canapés prepared right in front of you, a guest wine professional to
talk about the wines and live jazz. No reservations are taken; just
join in the good wine, good food and good time in the Enoteca Wine
Bar at the Bella Vita Restaurant at the Harborside Hotel. Flights

at 6:30PM, second at 7:30PM Each seating will accommodate

producers from within 100 miles of Bar Harbor for a menu made up
entirely of ingredients grown, caught, harvested or gathered from

Saturday September 15 Zin and Chops Reception
at 6pm with Passed Chef’s Canapés Three Course Dinner at
7pm The
seaside Bar Harbor Club, with its warm wood beams and stone
fireplace, is transformed into a zinful American steak house for a
night of cult-classic Zinfandels. These ultra-premium, small
production wines will be paired to a three-course menu featuring
wood-grilled prime steaks and lamb chops. A wine reception with hors
d’ouevres precedes dinner. Zinfandel enthusiast Ken Free, of
E&J. Gallo Winery, will lead us through this dinner of
magnificent and rare wines. Ken is the East Coast National Accounts
Director for hotels and fine dining and along with his personal
passion, he brings a wealth of first-hand winery knowledge to the
table. Join us we showcase America’s heritage grape.
